Parking at Toronto Airport: What Are the Options?

Short-term and long-stay parking lots, valet services, free pick-up and drop-off zones, and even pre-arranged parking are available at Toronto Pearson Airport. As the busiest airport in Canada, YYZ is fully equipped to handle the parking needs of both passengers and visitors efficiently. Below is a detailed overview of all available Toronto airport parking options.

Express Parking at Toronto Airport

Located near Terminal 1, the Express Parking Lot is a covered parking option ideal for pick-ups, drop-offs, and short stays of up to 3 hours. It is situated just 2–3 minutes from the terminal and does not allow advance reservations.

The lot provides accessible parking spaces and includes 10 electric vehicle charging points, located at Level 4, Aisle C, Spot 19.

Daily Parking at Toronto Airport

Daily Parking facilities are available at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. These covered garages serve passengers departing from or arriving at either terminal and are commonly used for pick-ups and drop-offs.

The parking lots are located 3–5 minutes from the terminals and are connected via climate-controlled walkways. Accessible parking spaces are available. Terminal 3 Daily Parking offers 10 EV charging stations at Level 3, Aisle D, Spot 5. Terminal 1 passengers can use EV charging points at Express Parking.

Online reservations are available for Daily Parking garages.

Preferred Parking at Toronto Airport

Preferred Parking allows you to reserve a specific parking spot in advance, eliminating the need to search for an available space. This option is available for both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.

At Terminal 1, follow the “Preferred Park” signs to Level 3, Area E4 of the Daily Parking garage. The terminal is a 3–5-minute walk away. At Terminal 3, Preferred Parking is located just 2–3 minutes from the terminal entrance.

Accessible parking is available, but EV charging stations are not provided in Preferred Parking areas.

Valet Services and Fast-Track Parking

Toronto Pearson Airport offers classic Valet Parking as well as Fast-Track Parking (formerly Express Valet), both available exclusively at Terminal 1.

With Valet Parking, you can drop off your vehicle curbside at Terminal 1 Departures (Post 9). Upon return, your car can be collected from Level 5 of the Terminal 1 parking garage. Optional services include car washing and EV charging.

Fast-Track Parking allows you to leave your keys at the Customer Care Office in the Terminal 1 garage. Airport staff will park your vehicle for you. The terminal entrance is a 2–3-minute walk away. Reservations can be made in advance or on the spot. EV charging is available upon request.

Long-Term Value Parking at Toronto Airport

Value Park Garage (covered) and Value Park Lot (open-air) are the most affordable long-term parking options at YYZ.

Value Park Garage is accessible via the free Terminal Link Train, requiring a 6–12-minute ride from the terminals. Accessible parking spaces are available.

Value Park Lot offers 14 accessible parking spots. Travel time to the terminals via the Terminal Link Train ranges from 9 to 15 minutes. The train operates 24/7 with a frequency of 4–8 minutes.

Viscount Station Reserved Parking

Viscount Station Reserved Parking is a low-cost long-term parking option available by online reservation only. Prices vary, and early bookings typically offer better rates.

The uncovered lot includes two accessible parking spaces and is connected to the terminals by the Terminal Link Train, which runs 24/7 every 4–8 minutes. Travel time to the terminals is approximately 6–12 minutes.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Options at Toronto Airport

Several options are available for picking up or dropping off passengers at Pearson Airport:

  • Free Pearson Cell Phone Lot: Stay up to 45 minutes inside your vehicle. Free EV charging is available.
  • Express Pass: Free parking for up to 18 minutes at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. Advance reservation required.
  • Short-Term Paid Parking: Use Express Parking at Terminal 1 or Daily Parking at Terminal 3.

Stopping outside Arrivals or Departures doors is limited to 1 minute only. Parking or waiting on terminal roadways is strictly prohibited and subject to fines. Designated accessible drop-off zones are available at each terminal’s Departures level.

Tip: International arrivals may require 1–3 hours for customs processing. Plan your arrival time accordingly.

Park & Ride at Toronto Pearson Airport

The Park & Ride option allows travelers to park at Terminal 1 Daily Parking and travel downtown via the UP Express train for a single combined fare of 35 CAD (approximately 25.50 USD / 24€).

After parking, proceed to the Level 5 West Lobby and follow the “Train to City” signs. You must present your voucher and a valid ID or passport before boarding.

UP Express operates from 05:27 to 23:27 on weekdays and from 06:27 to 23:27 on weekends and holidays. Trains run every 15 minutes during peak hours and reach downtown Toronto in about 25 minutes.

The Park & Ride offer includes parking for up to 24 hours and UP Express travel valid for 7 hours from first use. It covers up to 2 adults and 3 children (under 19).
