Showers at Pearson are inside airside lounges: included with access at the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges (Domestic and International, Terminal 1), sold as a separate 30-minute slot at the Plaza Premium lounge in Terminal 1 Domestic — with or without lounge time — and not listed at all by the KLM Crown Lounge or the Admirals Club. Without lounge access, the landside GoodLife gym in Terminal 1 is the option users report. Lounge showers keep lounge hours, so nothing is open in the overnight gap — see when Pearson lounges open and close (and the overnight gap).
One r/askTO poster put the job plainly: "I want to stay clean preferably take a shower & stay cool & rest before the flight as it is a 20+ hour flight. I Don't have lounge access." (user report, Reddit, 2026). Below: which rooms have a shower, how you get one, what it costs, and what to do when no lounge will let you in.
Showers by lounge
Only two operators confirm showers on their own Pearson pages: Air Canada for its Maple Leaf Lounges, and Plaza Premium for its Terminal 1 Domestic lounge. Everything else below is user-reported or not listed by the operator, and is marked that way. Availability by room is partly user-reported — checked on 2026-09-26.
| Lounge | Shower | Included or paid | How | Source / status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maple Leaf Lounge Domestic (T1, Level 4) | Yes | Included with access | Key at the desk | Air Canada lists "Fresh towels, as well as complimentary soap, shampoo"; two rooms per user reports |
| Maple Leaf Lounge International (T1, Pier F) | Yes | Included with access | Key at the desk, ask on arrival | Air Canada; two suites per a third-party guide (2026) |

Two things the table cannot show. Plaza Premium showers are a paid extra even when your entry is free — one reviewer skipped it for that reason: "In the end I didn't go for a shower as there's an additional cost to utilize them in this lounge." (blog review, 2023). And availability moves: the Priority Pass listing for the T1 Domestic lounge carried a notice that "shower facilities will not be available from 19 - 21MAY26", so a shower listed today can be out of service on your date.
The Maple Leaf side reads differently: "Honestly surprised by how nice the shower rooms are" (user report, Reddit, 2025) — and that is the shower you get for free, if a card, status or fare gets you through the door. Which rooms your card opens is on check what your card, status or ticket actually gets you at Pearson.
How to get a shower
At Plaza Premium you buy a 30-minute slot, online in advance or at the desk; at Maple Leaf you ask reception for a key as soon as you walk in. Only the 30-minute slot (Plaza Premium's booking page) and the amenity itself (Air Canada's lounge page) are official; the rest is what reviewers saw between 2022 and 2026, not a rule.
Plaza Premium, Terminal 1 Domestic
- Check your zone. The lounge is at Gate D20, Level 3, and only serves Domestic departures; the slot price appears only after you pick a date in the operator's widget.
- Book online or ask at the desk. The booking page lists "Shower – 30 Minutes" on its own and bundled with 2-, 3- or 6-hour lounge use. Priority Pass and Amex entry covers lounge time, not the shower.
- Collect a key at reception. "They handed me a shower room key along with a door tag." (blog review, 2026) — staff held the boarding pass at the desk during the shower.
- Ask for a hair dryer separately; the same review found it was not in the room.
- Allow for a wait at peak: "During busier periods, however, you may need to wait around 20 to 30 minutes." (blog review, 2026). On a card visit that wait comes out of your 2 hours per visit with Priority Pass or Amex Platinum.
Departing from Terminal 1 International while the E77 lounge is closed? You are sent to the Domestic lounge: use the Terminal 1 Domestic lounge (Gate D20): enter through the domestic security checkpoint, then allow about 15 minutes to walk to the E gates vérifié le 26 sept. 2026 · source: GTAA closure notice That walk matters if you are timing a shower before an E-gate departure — details on what T1 international passengers do while the E77 lounge is closed.
Maple Leaf Lounge, Domestic or International
- Ask at the desk immediately on arrival — a 2026 third-party guide's wording, and it matches the reviews: "Shower stalls were locked and I did not see any attendants, so ask at the front desk if you wish to take a shower." (blog review, 2022).
- Take the key; it is first come, first served. "Simply ask for a shower room key at the lounge reception desk when you arrive." (blog review, 2026).
- Nothing to pay. Air Canada lists the shower, towels and toiletries as part of the lounge; no report mentions a charge.
- Mind the entry window: Maple Leaf Lounges admit you up to 3 hours before departure; any time when connecting vérifié le 26 sept. 2026 · source: Air Canada Arrive four hours early on a point-to-point ticket and you wait an hour before you can ask for a key.
Bring a change of clothes. Towels, soap and shampoo are listed by Air Canada and reported at Plaza Premium; the hair dryer is the item reviewers had to chase.
What a shower costs at Pearson
Plaza Premium does not publish a shower price: not published: Plaza Premium lists showers as 'charges may apply' without a price valeur officielle non disponible au 26 sept. 2026 · Plaza Premium Third-party sources quote a figure — "One Plaza Premium location at YYZ lists shower access for $22 plus tax, and it includes towel and toiletries (I just saw this online)." (user report, Reddit, 2026) — but no operator page confirms it, so the number that counts is the one the booking widget shows on your date.
- Plaza Premium shower slot — price shown at booking; "Charges may apply / Subject to availability". Lounge-plus-shower bundles sit in the same widget. Walk-in lounge entry is a separate charge: CAD 65 for 2 hours, CAD 79 for 3 hours, CAD 105 for 6 hours (taxes extra); children 2–11 pay 30% less, under 2 free vérifié le 26 sept. 2026 · source: GTAA
- Plaza Premium with Priority Pass or Amex Platinum — entry is covered, the shower is not: Amex lists "Showers (Charges apply)". Whether any card ever includes it is a question we have put to the operator; until answered, budget for the charge.
- Maple Leaf Lounge — included with access. Entering as someone's guest costs CAD 59 per guest; the full rate card is on door prices versus prepaid rates for Pearson lounges.
- GoodLife gym, Terminal 1 landside — a day pass, price by user reports only (next section); not a lounge.
- Hotel or day room — the only option with a bed; prices vary by property.
Both the price and the "included with card" question are pending operator confirmation; this section is re-checked when Plaza Premium answers or changes its listing.
Shower without lounge access
Without a lounge you have three routes: a day pass at the GoodLife gym landside in Terminal 1, a shower-only slot at Plaza Premium T1 Domestic (no lounge purchase needed, but only if you depart from that zone), or a hotel day room. We found no official listing of a public pay-per-use shower airside, and there are no landside lounges.
| Option | Where | Price (status) | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| GoodLife Fitness day pass | Terminal 1, Level 1, before security | Day-pass fee, user-reported only; not confirmed by GoodLife | Security again afterwards; not a lounge — no seating or food |
| Plaza Premium "Shower – 30 Minutes" | Terminal 1 Domestic, Gate D20, after security | Shown at booking; not published | Domestic-zone departures (T1 International passengers redirected here while E77 is closed); subject to availability; lounge hours only |
| Hotel day room | On-airport hotel or nearby | Varies | The only option with a bed; users mention day-use booking apps, unverified |
The GoodLife tip comes from an arrival thread: "You can shower at GoodLife gym at T1 level 1." — with the follow-up "just beware you'll have to pay for a day pass which is about $24+tax." (user reports, Reddit, 2024). Pearson's lounge pages say nothing about it, so fee and hours are the gym's to confirm, and you clear security again on the way back: how long security takes at Pearson before you reach a lounge.
Arriving rather than departing? Lounges want a boarding pass for an outbound flight, so a shower after landing means the gym or a hotel: see hotel inside Toronto Pearson airport and where to sleep at Pearson when the lounges are closed. One overnight-layover reply summed up the trade-off: "Just book the hotel , plaza premium lounge is the same rate as crowne plaza" (user report, Reddit, 2025) — a lounge is a shower and a seat, not a night's sleep.
When to shower to avoid a wait
Early in the day, before the lounge fills. The 20–30 minute wait reported at Plaza Premium and the "waitlist common" note for the Maple Leaf International lounge both describe busy periods, and each lounge has only a couple of rooms. The Domestic Maple Leaf reviewer who came off a red-eye found "no wait when I arrived around 05:30" (user report, Reddit, 2025); at Plaza Premium you can book the slot for a set time instead of queuing. Either way the shower cannot outlast the lounge: the T1 Domestic Plaza Premium is open 05:30–22:30 daily vérifié le 26 sept. 2026 · source: GTAA, and Air Canada's Toronto lounge hours are not published: Air Canada does not show Toronto lounge hours in a form we could verify valeur officielle non disponible au 26 sept. 2026 · Air Canada
